Now here is a good heart warming story that shows that us motor cyclists stick together and will help one another. In March 2007 I paid for a magneto that Warther never sent so I put a note in Georges Buyer Feedback looking for help.
Well, I was contacted by a person who lives in the same State as Warther and he made contact with him, and suggested that it was not a wise move to steal from a brother motor cyclist. Now I don't know exactly what he said, but I had the magneto 5 days later and I got many emails from Warther apologising for the delay!
I would like to thank my helper again, as without his assistance I am sure that Warther would have just kept my magneto. I will buy you a beer some day!
Now if anyone has trouble with dealers/sellers here in Australia let me know. I would like to return the favor to someone else.

In the past few months, there have been many fraudulent auctions for Harleys on eBay, and the situation only seems to be getting worse. At any given time, there are from one, to as many as thirty or more of these auctions running. It seems as soon as E-BAY shuts one down, two more pop up in it's place.
This is really too bad, as E-BAY has in the past been a great place to buy or sell just about anything imaginable. Let's hope that eBay gets a handle on this before they become simply a bad joke that nobody feels secure doing business with.What the criminals running these auctions are doing is somehow scamming an unsuspecting E-BAY customer's password from them, then hijacking their account and running these auctions under the stolen customer's name. Usually the scammers simply steal, via copy and pasting, all the pictures and information from a previous legitimate auction, and change almost nothing except the price and terms.
Before bidding on a high dollar item on E-BAY, ask yourself these questions.
Is it a private auction and/or one where they want you to pre-qualify before you bid? While many legitimate very high dollar auctions (like over $75,000) will be private and/or require pre-qualification, most in the dollar range of a Harley don't, and almost all the scam auctions will be one or both
Are parts of the ad well written, and other parts written with bad grammar like someone who barely speaks English?
Do statements in the ad not match conditions of the auction? For instance does the ad mention a low reserve but there isn't one?
Is there no escrow excepted? (Watch out for phony escrow companies too. Use only companies endorsed by E-BAY.)
Do they want you to send the money via Western Union? (A REAL bad sign)
Does the seller have a wonderful feedback rating, but when you research their past transactions, it's obvious that they specialize in dolls, stamps, baseball cards, or fuzzy stuffed bears?..... never Harley stuff?
Is the seller located in another country?
