In the process of being professionally restored to be AMCA judged.
No expense spared. I recently purchased this project from another HD restorer who's customer came ill and was forced to sell the bike. This in not a pile of parts. It was a complete up and running original 54 that was disassembled for restoration by one of the best builders in the AMCA. The sheetmetal is all done in anniversary yellow. Mint front fender tip polished to restored quality. front fork legs polished to stock quality, rebushed and rebuilt with new fork tubes. Frame was straightened and painted as well as all the other items to be painted black. Motor and tranny remain un-restored and motor has top end off. All parts original and correct to this 54FL200X. Peter Heintz restored speedo. Bike needs chrome, cad, parkerizing, motor and tranny rebuild and assembly. All parts boxed, labeled and organized well. Contact me for pics and more info. Its worth way more if I part it all out but I dont want to do that. $13,000 for a complete 54FL in pieces. Everything's there.

This bike was purchased out of California in 2004. It has been reliable and has never left me stranded. It has a ton of original parts. I have other parts to bring the bike even more correct if you so desire. It has the thirteen fin jugs, original taillight, foot boardset etc. It smokes a little but fires up after the priming cycle every time. The bike runs true and straight. It is not a 100 point bike but it has a great patina and is a great piece. I have ridden many a flathead but this eighty is extremely strong. If you have any questions please ask. Frame was professionally checked but no repairs were needed. It is straight and true--ready for that beautiful restoration. Every tab, gusset and support is still intact. Frame rails are very slightly egg shaped where front crash bar attaches. Front forks are complete and straight The springs much like any 70 year old, sag and need some TLC or they need to be replaced with some NOS. I'm in the Cleveland Ohio area, but will work with anyone in the 48 contiguous states. Depending on the condition of the 39 frame and forks you are offering, I'll trade and pay extra cash. Last time the bike ran was in the 1950's poured sinch lube into motor was started and shut off, has not been started since.

I dis-assembled the fork when I got it,and both legs were checked by the Frame Man in Sacramento Ca. for straightness and accuracy...I then re-assembled it adding a set of NOS rocker studs..I removed and cleaned the zirks as well..Rocker bushing were given a fresh coat of grease,and everything was re-assembled...Fork is ready to run and has no issues...$1000..knuck39@yahoo.com

Has one year only 5 gallon tanks with petcock on the right side, linkert DC carb with correct backing plate, early primary cover & delco starter and smooth top white buddy seat. Also has spotlights and correct 63-69 fiberglass bags. Runs, shifts and rides well. 56,000 miles, clean NJ title, two owner bike. This bike was a rider for sure. Paint worn in several spots but it's typical of hi-fi bikes that have been ridden and enjoyed as they should be. Other than the repop exhaust its basically all original. It's only original paint once!! Here's your chance at a first year shovelhead in original unrestored condition. If you want a nice original rider then this is it.

With a few upgrades (such as rims,etc). this would be a great motorcycle. The original plastic front fender tip is there but it is broken. The tool box is the correct ribbed one with an accessory chrome cover. It also has a front brake cooling ring, a sight glass in the oil tank and dual exhaust. It has matching belly number. It does have some dents, dings, scratches, and rust. Looks like some of the black paint may have been touched-up. The oil tank has the original decal on it. The battery lid is not correct. This project bike is 95 % OEM or NOS. Needs speedo, dash, horn and seat. The frame, springer front end, wheels, brake, floorbord etc have been powder coated. The engine and tranny parts are NOS, or restored to OEM. All hardware (1035-1038 cp) has been parkerized or cad plated according to How to restore your Harley. Oil and gas tanks are in mint condition with 2 very small dings. The front fender (also in mint condition) is the 1936-39 butterfly tab style fender.

S&S super E carb, approx 2K on the rebuild engine.Primo 2" Open belt drive with Rivera wet/dry clutch pak. H-D 4 speed transmission with foot clutch and jockey shift. Have all parts to return to hand clutch/foot shift.
It also has an 18"x5.5" rear wheel with a 180mm tire. The rim will accomodate a 200mm tire, so you could go wider with no modification. It is a chain final drive.
This bike is also equipped with a chrome billet headlight, polished billet forward controls, handmade sissybar, '59 Cadillac taillight and custom paint.
